About Weir Farm

Visit the home and studio of America’s most beloved Impressionist, J. Alden Weir, and walk in the footsteps of generations of world-class artists. Weir’s farm is a national legacy to American Impressionism, the creative spirit and historic preservation.

Designed and preserved by artists, Weir Farm National Historical Park celebrates the power of art, nature and creativity.

Weir Farm NHP includes the home, studio and gardens of pioneering American Impressionist, Julian Alden Weir.  It is the only national park dedicated to American Impressionist painting, and notably one of the nation’s finest remaining landscapes of American art. The park continues to be a source of inspiration for artists and visitors to carry on this artistic tradition.

Weir Farm NHP offers opportunities to create art, enjoy the gardens, orchards and pastures, and explore the breathtaking pond, woods and trails. While on site, plan to visit (seasonally) Weir’s art studio and exceptional house, the studio of the famous American sculptor, Mahonri Young, and the historic Weir Barn.  Or, take one of the many virtual tours offered on the park’s website and get to know the park before you go.

Before visiting the park, please check the park website to determine its operating hours and status.

We hope to see you soon!
